Discover a new ‘canon’ of working-class books that tell a different story to the established British literary canon in this live recording of the Working Class Library podcast, with editor Richard Benson and Claire Malcolm, CEO of New Writing North.
Benson and Malcolm will be joined by special guest, award-winning writer, mentor and editor Adam Farrer, to discuss the working class credentials and perspectives of one of Yorkshire’s most famous literary sons, Alan Bennett, exploring his family memoir, Untold Stories.
The Working Class Library podcast is a venture of The Bee, a new magazine of writing by working class writers published by New Writing North.
There will be a BSL interpreter at this event.
