Emma Nanami Strenner and Claire Adam discuss themes of motherhood, adoption, abandonment and lost daughters in their new novels.
Strenner has been a journalist for over twenty years, writing for Vogue, ELLE and The Times. Her debut My Other Heart is a sweeping and heartfelt story about finding your roots across borders and beyond blood-ties.
Adam’s prize-winning first book Golden Child was named one of the BBC’s ‘100 Novels that Shaped the World’. Her heart-aching novel Love Forms tells the story of a mother’s search for the daughter she left behind a lifetime ago.
