81. Corinne Fowler & Jason Allen-Paisant: Roam and Reclaim

T.S. Eliot Prize-winning poet Jason Allen-Paisant and professor of colonialism and heritage Corinne Fowler explore our connections with the land and uncover the hidden stories rural spaces can share about our history.

Allen-Paisant’s The Possibility of Tenderness is a fierce reclamation of a link with the land, roaming from Jamaican hills to the woodlands of Leeds. Fowler’s Our Island Stories brings to light, through ten country walks, the buried connections between Britain’s countryside and the history of empire.
This event has a limited number of bursary tickets available for people who might not otherwise be able to afford them. You can apply here.
